Johnny Cool Darwin Pty Ltd

Johnny Cool Darwin Pty Ltd handles air conditioning and electrical work for homes, businesses and critical sites, and the verdict around Winnellie is that they look after the Top End well. They do split system installation, servicing and repairs, ducted and VRF systems, packaged units and commercial jobs, all built around the realities of a Territory climate. When something conks out mid build-up, they take emergency call-outs too.

Ask the people who've had them out and a few things come up again and again. They turn up when they say they will, which locals rate highly in a trade where that isn't always a given. They keep in touch, the technicians are clean and tidy, and more than one person has mentioned a fault diagnosed and sorted on the first visit. People appreciate that they're on the Fujitsu list and can sort warranty work with Daikin and Fujitsu when it applies. Mitchell gets a mention as a technician who stays calm when a job throws up a surprise, and Leisha and the office team come up for being organised, friendly and good at squeezing in urgent bookings, including looking after a local childcare service at short notice.

A business that changed hands recently will always have the odd person who felt a job or an invoice didn't go their way, and we've heard a grumble or two. The broader reputation around Darwin, though, is warm: offices back up and running in hot, humid conditions, spare-room units fixed before visitors arrive, and plenty of people booking them back for the next clean or service. If your aircon has packed it in, they're worth considering.
