About Peninsula Air Conditioning
Peninsula Air Conditioning is a family-owned business working out of North Moonta and across the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, handling split system installation, repairs and servicing, ducted air conditioning and emergency breakdowns. Their website also describes them as wood fire heating specialists, supplying and installing reverse cycle split systems, ducted evaporative and ducted reverse cycle systems for homes and new builds. They work as qualified and licensed installers, and the business has been going twenty years, with Haydn bringing twenty years of experience to the work.
Check with anyone who's had them out and you'll hear the same thing: the team turns up when they say they will, keeps you in the loop, and tends to sort the problem the first time. One local had an evaporative unit pack it in right before a hot long weekend and the boys got out, changed the solenoid and had the cool air running again before the weekend turned unbearable. Others talk about installs done quickly and tidily, work explained clearly, and fair prices along the way. They can be busy, but the reputation around the Peninsula is that the wait is worth it for a professional job. One person summed it up simply: no fuss, no bother, got the job done.
Opinion isn't unanimous, and we've heard the odd grumble about communication and getting a service done to the standard expected. For most people, though, this is a local family business they call back for the next job. They cover homes and businesses across the Yorke Peninsula, and emergency call-outs are part of what they do. Contact them to talk through your system and get in touch.

“My evaporative air conditioner stopped working Friday lunchtime right before a very hot long weekend. I contacted Peninsula Air Conditioning, I was asked to send through my details and they would try their hardest to get out to us before close of business. Within 2 hours the boys arrived, changed our solenoid & had us up & running again, to enjoy a very hot weekend underneath our cool air con.”

Local word of mouth is mixed. Several jobs are described as professional, prompt and explained clearly, with customers praising installs completed quickly and staff who talk through what work is needed. Other accounts raise concerns about slow responses to enquiries and servicing that missed steps like cleaning the condenser or grilles. It is worth asking Peninsula Air Conditioning upfront exactly what a service or repair will include.
Contact Peninsula Air Conditioning directly with details of your property and the type of system you're after, whether that's a split system, ducted reverse cycle or ducted evaporative unit. Having the make and model of any existing unit, photos of the install location, and details on access will help them scope the job. Several customers have used them repeatedly for installs at homes and even a church, rating the result as professional.
Yes, alongside split systems they install and service ducted evaporative and ducted reverse cycle systems for both existing homes and new builds on the Yorke Peninsula. One customer had their evaporative unit fixed under warranty with a service done at the same time, while others have had full ducted systems installed. For servicing, it's worth confirming with them what a full service covers for your particular system.
