Prolec Electrical and Air Conditioning

Based in Eltham, Prolec Electrical and Air Conditioning has built a strong word-of-mouth reputation across Melbourne's north-east for air conditioning work done properly. They handle split system installation, repairs and servicing, ducted systems and commercial jobs, and the team has been going for around ten years now. One customer found them through a family member's referral.

What locals keep returning to is how smooth the whole process feels. The team keeps to the times they give and keeps you updated along the way, and one person has mentioned being pleasantly surprised to speak with someone local who actually understands the problem rather than a call centre script. The work itself gets high marks too: one household had five wall units and a new compressor fitted in a day, with the pipework neatly hidden on what wasn't a straightforward install. Tidiness comes up again and again, with technicians leaving the premises in good order when they're done.

The crew gets named a lot, which says something about how they carry themselves on the job. Andy in the office is described as friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely helpful, and technicians like James, Alex and Lenny are spoken of as punctual, polite and careful. When a problem can't be sorted on the spot, the consensus around Eltham is they'll gather what they need and come back promptly to finish it off, including follow-up checks. One local had their power go out late one night and had someone there within the evening to sort it.

Prolec offers free, no-obligation quotes and runs emergency call-outs, and the team is fully licensed and insured. They also helped one household through the government rebate paperwork, which is a handy touch. If you need a split or ducted system installed or serviced in Melbourne's north-east, they're worth a try.
