About Mint Airconditioning & Refrigeration
Mint Airconditioning & Refrigeration works out of Fyshwick, ACT, covering Canberra and the areas around it. They handle split system installation, repairs and servicing, ducted air conditioning, and commercial systems too, and the talk around Canberra is that they're the sort of team you can count on from the first phone call through to the finished job. More than one local has come to them after another company left a system installed badly, and watched Mint quietly sort out problems others said needed a full replacement.
People who've had them out talk about the same things again and again: installers who turn up on time, keep you in the loop, leave the place clean and tidy, and take the time to explain how everything works before they go. Several mention the office staff being easy to deal with and happy to adjust a quote without fuss. One local, grateful after an urgent job for elderly relatives, called them absolute miracle workers. Technicians like Travis, Conner and Jordan get named by the people they've looked after, which tells you plenty about how this team operates.
Mint is women-owned and LGBTQ+ friendly. They're ARCtick certified and licensed with the Australian Refrigeration Council to handle refrigerants, and they carry public liability and professional indemnity cover. They do emergency call-outs as well, though it's always worth ringing to check timing. From single splits in apartments to full ducted reverse cycle systems, folks keep coming back for the next job and sending friends their way, which says most of what you need to know. Get in touch or check in with them.

What Customers Say on Google
“After an atrocious experience of 18+ months of another company installing a system badly and then 'trying' to fix it, Mint came in and were so kind, polite, and most importantly, highly skilled at their jobs.”
“Mint installed our ducted yesterday, they were so professional, clean, tidy, and a very respectful team. Explained how it all works and that we understood before they left.”
“What an amazing bunch of humans. To make time today for an urgent job. Jordan you deserve more than a cold beer mate. Thank you. My elderly clients are now cool and safe.”

Frequently Asked Questions About Mint Airconditioning & Refrigeration
Mint Airconditioning & Refrigeration covers split system installation, repairs and servicing, ducted air conditioning, and commercial systems from their Fyshwick base, working across Canberra and the surrounding region. They've handled jobs ranging from single split systems in apartments to full ducted heating and cooling replacements, including swapping out old evaporative coolers and gas heaters for reverse cycle Panasonic ducted systems.
Yes, this comes up repeatedly. One customer had a system installed badly by another company and left unresolved for over 18 months before Mint sorted it out. Another had a difficult multi-split system that several other companies failed to diagnose, which Mint's technician solved after the customer had been given incorrect advice elsewhere.
Mint Airconditioning & Refrigeration does take on emergency call-outs. One example saw the team make time for an urgent job on short notice to get an elderly client's home cool and safe again. Beyond emergencies, they're also used for routine servicing, cleaning and gas recharges on existing systems.
Customers consistently mention the same things: the team turns up on time, keeps in touch through the booking and admin process, works cleanly and tidily, and gets the job fixed right the first time. Several locals describe installers explaining how the new system works before leaving, and ducted and split system installs being finished without mess left behind.
Contact Mint Airconditioning & Refrigeration directly to arrange a quote, whether it's for a split system, ducted install or a commercial job. It helps to have details ready such as the make or model you're after (Panasonic ducted and split systems feature often in their work), the property layout, and whether you're replacing an existing gas heater or evaporative cooler, as this affects planning and installation.
